Playing catch up (and a little bocce)

To begin with, Halloween is just around the corner. Fresh pumpkins are awaiting their carving on our front porch and Emily is in the living room sewing away. I, on the other hand, still have a lion head that looks very much like a lion head and not like the eagle head I am attempting to turn it into. Oops

Because it is not yet resembling an eagle, I can pretend I am a lion

In other news we have a new backyard mushroom. We love it very much.

Robbie knows it is very important to get down to its level before taking pictures with it.

FRIDAY: Beauty Palace attends the beautiful choir concert of our lovely Eve. It was, I must say, one of the best choir performances I have ever attended. Good job Eve! Most beautiful singing!

A group picture with the star and birthday girl of the night.

We came home to a birthday party for Eve. Everyone had a lot of fun singing karaoke at the top of our lungs. We were having so much fun the neighbors thought to tell the cops about it so they could come join us. Unfortunately they were unable to stay unless we paid them $5000 to come back. So no karaoke for the cops. But the rest of us had fun anyway

Eve is most hug-worthy

SATURDAY: Bridget and I decided to embark on a two-day bike ride up and down the Guadalupe River park trail. We didn't get very far Saturday but Sunday we went around 6-7 miles North. Here is a picturesque documentation of our trip

Almost immediately after we began, we spotted a little bird friend.

We rode along green fields and let our hair down.

Along the way we spotted a very crafty hobo dwelling

We decided we were glad we aren't hobos though. (High five!)

Upon resting, we decided to snap some pictures.

but we never seemed to be on the same page...

We consumed a light snack

And then ran across the field to touch these things

and it was so worth it.

Bridget sat on this little hill as well.

After our bike ride we listened to Celtic explode.
No, Celtic explosion. Right.

Mista' Dawg and company played us some real live Celtic explosion.

SUNDAY: This day everyone was only half awake on account of craziness that had occurred the day and night before. Never the less it was absolutely vital that we go to the pumpkin patch. And go we did. Good thing too because there were baby chicklets that needed to be cuddled!

It was delightful!

*Snuggle snuggle*

The fuzziness overcame me!

Then we came across this large and ugly pumpkin. It didn't mean to be so large and ugly so we took a picture with it to make it feel better.

Unfortunately, we could not contain ourselves.

Then we retired to the pumpkin patch (of tiny pumpkins) (No people)

Some pumpkins were chosen and scarecrows were sat by

Also, we stuck our heads through holes

It was all very tiring

Our pumpkins await their fates on the front porch.

MONDAY: Today, which is Monday, the ELM OT students took a very lousy midterm. So, to counteract the lousiness we went and played some BOCCE BALL!! Basically, Bocce Ball is like bowling. Except instead of pins, you hit the other teams' balls and aim for the silver snitch (or a small silver ball if you're not so cool to think it's a snitch)

Here is the Bocce crew (minus Kim who came later) before the game

Here is the infamous GREEN TEAM!

and the vengeful RED TEAM!

Let the pointing begin!

Our lovely cheerleaders

All these smiling faces and not one midterm frown!! We even recorded the night to watch when we graduate.

Thanks Kim for checking out the camera!

Wow. So that was probably the longest blog in blog history. Well, maybe not, but at least the one with the most pictures. Tonight I will sleep well I think. Next up: Halloween weekend in Austin, TX. I will work on costumes.

Out!

  1. Everyone was a winner. We played about 10 times. I think overall the Red Team won because they kept knocking our balls out of the way.
