It's all first grade again

Dear friends,

In the growing midst of finals week, I have, in fact, found more reasons NOT to study. Oh dear. One of my most recent hobbies is reading craft blogs. I am SOO INSPIRED. Now, this is not necessarily a good things because inspired to make things means not inspired to study. Not to get you wrong, I HAVE been studying. One needs some distractors. Right? Of course!

The point of today's blog is to reflect on a tiny story that occurred yesterday. It went a little something like this.

On this fine "Study Day" Robbie, Jessica and Bridget were hanging out in Jessica's room. They did things such as look at pictures of Jessica's cat (Squealing loudly, or at least Jessica was), looking at pictures of baby Jessica (squealing loudly, Robbie and Bridget were), and just ramdom assortment of things requiring more squealing. This day was particularly lax as the occupants of Beauty Palace has very much slept in. In fact, this portion of the story began around noon. Jessica was dressed in nothing but a bath towel, and Bridget in a bath robe. Robbie was dressed in pajamas. The point of Jessica and Bridget NOT being dressed at this point in time is a very integral part of the tale. You see, it all started when Jessica went to her wardrobe to pick out an outfit:

Jessica: Alright, what about something like this: One "El Conductor" Threadless t-shirt and a pair of jeans.
Bridget: No!
Jessica: *quizzically* what do you mean, "No!"
Bridget: You can't wear JEANS!
Jessica: Well, what am I supposed to wear?
Bridget: A Skirt
Jessica: OK, which skirt?
Bridget: That red one!
Jessica: (goes over to closet) That skirt?! That skirt is a swing dance skirt. With polka dots. Red and black polka dots. It doesn't even match "El Conductor"
Bridget: Wear it.
Jessica: This looks like something I would wear in first grade. Ok, fine. If you get to dress me, I get to dress you.
Bridget: Fair enough.

After Jessica kicked her friends out of her room so she could dress, she goes to find dear Bridget in Emily's room:

Jessica: Ok, I'm ready to pick your outfit.
Bridget: Well, that may be hard for you as my clothes are all over the floor.

(pause)

but you may pick me out an outfit from Emily's closet instead as her clothes are much better organized.
Jessica: OK
(Goes to closet, peruses. Begins to giggle madly) I've got it!
Bridget: Ok, show me.
(sees selection and also giggles loudly)

You will see below what all the giggling is about. Since we were already dressed like first graders we decided it was more than appropriate to have Robbie shoot some first day of school-esque photos. Here is the result: (Enjoy)

~Out for now. First final tomorrow.
