The Joys of Technology

More and more lately I have been feeling that it is the joys of technology that really enable me to be so efficient in my work. I really don't think that even 5 year ago students were calling up fellow students on skype, and simultaneously writing a paper on google docs, then saving it on dropbox to access online later at school and printing wirelessly to their printers. I doubt that even 5 years ago students could check their email on their smartphones any minute of the day, in fact, 5 years ago I often did not have good enough reception to call someone with my cell phone.

Even more than work, I pretty much have an online relationship. Even 5 years ago, that probably meant I met hm on a dating website and we chatted every day through instant message. Welcome to 2010 where I can facetime him on his cell phone from my laptop and we could go to the store together. I get to see him every day and say goodnight ton skypee every night. Often, I really am amazed at the tings we can do nowadays.

Pretty much everyone's life is synced with technology. Social encounters happen on facebook or via email. People's life soundtrack are carried around on their ipods and synced back up to their laptops when they get home. Digital cameras allow us to take infinite pictures of every event we attend and then snap all our friends can see them too through medias such as youtube, facebook, photobucket and all of these invaluable resources we have literally at our very fingertips!

Anyway, technology is a wonderful friend to all of us, even though it definitely does come with its own evils.
